Mad Catz has announced that they have joined into a license agreement with Microsoft. They will be creating accessories for the Xbox 360. Their initial Xbox 360 products will include controllers, a steering wheel, a dance mat and an arcade stick.
"This agreement is very significant for Mad Catz since it marks the beginning of the next console hardware cycle," said Darren Richardson, President and CEO of Mad Catz. "As video game technology becomes more complex, it is critical that peripheral companies work closely with the first party game system manufacturers to ensure compatibility and consumer satisfaction. We are committed to providing high quality peripherals to diversify the Xbox 360 platform and help make the launch a huge success."
Only resin prototypes were on display at E3, but MadCatz plans to have these products ready for the launch of the Xbox 360 with additional licensed products to be launched to coincide with software releases. |
